COVID-19 Vaccination required.

Ages 18 to 64 years

Combination Vaccine for:

1. Tetanus Diphtheria (Td) or Tetanus Diphtheria Pertussis 

An initial series of three immunizations, which are normally received in childhood at ages 2, 4 and 6 months and a booster immunization within the last 10 years must be documented. 

or

If you have no proof of a primary series you must begin an adult series of TWO doses of Td 4 to 8 weeks apart with a third dose 6 to 12 months after the second. You must be as up-to-date as possible with your series at the time of your immigration medical. 

or

You must have proof of a Td booster within 10 years prior to your immigration medical.

Combination Vaccine for:

Mumps

Measles

Rubella

If you were born after 1956 you must show proof of immunization (2 shots) for Mumps, Measles and Rubella

or

An antibody titers blood test showing proof of immunity to MMR (Mumps/Measles/Rubella).

The blood test is called MMR Serology and can be ordered by your own doctor at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

or

You must receive an immunization for MMR.

3. Chickenpox (Varicella)     

A verbal declaration of Chickenpox.

or

Proof of immunization against Chickenpox.
Normally two immunizations 4 to 8 weeks apart or the first of the two within the 4 weeks prior to your immigration medical examination.

or

An antibody titers blood test showing proof of
immunity to Chickenpox (Varicella).

4. Hepatitis B - new requirement for age 18 to 59 

5. Influenza (Flu shot)        

Required for everyone over 6 months of age. (during flu season only - November to February)

*Pregnant women cannot receive MMR or Chickenpox immunization, but they can receive other vaccines like Td.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women or women intending to become pregnant should consult their own doctors prior to attending their Immigrant Visa Medical to review the medically acceptable contraindications for immunization.

We cannot exempt people from immunization unless there is a valid contraindication.

You do have the option of proving immunity with the appropriate antibody titer blood test.
